We offer you a special service during your stay in the participating municipalities of the KONUS network in the Black Forest: with the KONUS guest card, you can use buses and trains free of charge within the defined KONUS area.

1. KONUS applies exclusively to local transport in 2nd class within the defined KONUS area (with the exception of IC, ECE and ICE trains, as well as ski lifts).

2. The KONUS guest card is only valid if it is fully completed (the total number of people and the departure date must also be stated). If you cannot yet confirm your departure date, please state the expected departure date. The KONUS guest card can be issued for a maximum period of two months. For stays of more than six months (or more than three months for guests without a permanent residence in Germany), you are obliged under the Residence Registration Act to register with the residence registration office (at your place of residence) within two weeks.

3. The KONUS guest card must not be filled in directly. If the registration form is completed by hand, it must be drawn up in the presence of your host using the carbon copy method. The electronic guest card is created by your host. Any subsequent changes made directly to the KONUS guest card will render the card invalid as a ticket.

4. KONUS applies exclusively to passenger transport and not to the free transport of animals and bicycles. In such cases, the respective fare rules of the transport companies and transport networks apply.

5. KONUS is only valid in conjunction with a valid photo ID belonging to the person whose name is stated on the KONUS guest card. This person must be physically present in the vehicle, even when KONUS is used as a group ticket.

6. The KONUS guest card is non-transferable.

7. If you have registered as a group but wish to use KONUS as a travel ticket for individual group members, you will receive individual KONUS guest cards at your accommodation upon presentation and exchange of your KONUS group guest card. We recommend that you request individual KONUS guest cards when registering if you do not always travel as a group.

8. Groups travelling together must register with the relevant transport operators to guarantee their transport. The relevant network provisions regarding the registration requirement apply. In principle, transport companies can only carry groups within the capacity provided for in the timetable. Particularly during peak hours, it is not always possible to accommodate all transport requests. If you register directly with the transport company, you will receive either a confirmation or alternative proposals.

9. KONUS is valid from the day of your arrival at your accommodation (check-in) until the day of your departure. KONUS can be used for the departure, but not for the arrival.

10. Information about the participating transport networks, as well as the boundaries of these networks and the KONUS zone, is available at your accommodation, from local tourist offices or online at www.konus-schwarzwald.info. If your journey crosses the KONUS zone, you must pay the standard transport fare from the last point within the KONUS zone.

Please adhere to these terms and conditions and to the general transport terms and conditions of the participating transport networks and the transport companies operating between the networks.

In the event of a breach, a transport surcharge of at least €60 is payable.
